In line with new British Canoeing and Government guide lines from Monday June 1st we are now able to day paddle.
1: As individuals,
2: With members of your household
3: With up to 6 persons not from your household, whilst still maintaining strict social distancing of 2 metres or more. This would mean travelling separately with your own kit to the local put-in.
If you decide to go for a paddle it will NOT be under the club umbrella. You can still use the club canal licence (as long as your club membership is up to date)
Please be careful to paddle well within your limits to avoid putting unnecessary pressure on our already stretched emergency services.
If in doubt don't go out SAFETY FIRST.
Please keep your paddles local no trips to Devon yet.
If you want to paddle but your not confident to paddle alone you do have the option to message people/persons to buddy up with using option 3. You would need your own kit and have to travel alone though.
Day paddling only, sorry still no wild camping yet.
The committee will re-evaluate the situation, if and when things change and advise all club members accordingly. We hope all members stay well and safe and hopefully we'll all get back out on the water together very soon.
