As we are now starting to venture out on the water in small groups and solo expeditions, are you keeping a paddling log? It acts as a reminder as to what, where, when and whom you've been out with; and should you want to partake in British Canoeing awards, it acts as proof of your ability, experience and knowledge of the waters and rivers in which you have paddled. I keep a very simple log and as well as above include weather/tides and distance paddled ( There are loads of apps on your phone for this.) It is also handy for keep post codes of start points and get out points!
