With silver grey skies and a rising tide four members of BCC, explored the estuary around Tollesbury. We paddled out into the Tollesbury Fleet and rounded Great Cobb just entering the Blackwater Estuary. We returned back into the Fleet and cut through the marshes, finding our way through the many water ways to the now privately owned Smugglers Inn by Old Hall Lane. Lots of tight turns and dead ends to negotiate and getting stuck on the mud flats on more than one occasion.

We then followed the main channel, Old Hall Creek back to Woodrolfe Creek and the Marina for a well earned fry up.
