Wayford Bridge on the A149 to Ludham Bridge on the A1062.
Saturday was very windy, so we part paddled and part sailed. We rafted the three canoes together. Jill was on the bow holding the orange sail with Maggie keeping watch.I was in the middle holding the canoes together with Kevin on the Mizzen sail and Cheryl on the tiller. (You can’t see Cheryl)
And further on Cheryl and Jill continued sailing
We did a bit of bush bashing toward Cromer Broad
On Sunday we went from Ludham Bridge to Wroxham off the A1151.
Passing many windmills. This one is called a skeleton windpump and was used for draining the broads.
We had lunch at the New Inn, on the R. Bure by Horning.
Passed many luxurious houses.
Explored various hidden bays.
And finally got out at Wroxham
This was our route. Thanks for a cracking weekend open canoeing. We paddled about 20 miles in total.
The paddlers were Kevin and Maggie, Jill and Cheryl and John.
