Paddle on the River Stour from Sudbury to Bures

Meeting 9.30am at The Granary, Sudbury, CO10 2AN to organise a car shuttle down to the get out at Bures Recreation Ground, CO8 5BX.

We will be paddling with the flow, one way. There are several weirs en route which can be shot/played on depending on the river levels. All can be easily portaged for those that don’t want to go near them or if the levels make avoidance necessary.

Please make sure you dress appropriately for the weather/water conditions and bring a warm drink and lunch/snacks with you.

This is a great little trip for those new to paddling or to the club and will give you a chance to develop your skills and experience further.

If you need to borrow any kit/boats please contact the club’s equipment officer in good time. If you are unsure about the suitability of this trip for you please don’t hesitate to ask advice from a club coach, leader or committee member.
