This was our usual trip to Anglesea, brought forward by a couple of weeks as I wanted to attend a boat demo weekend with Summit to the Sea. I spent the weekend trying out different kayaks and eventually settled on a NorthShore Atlantic Evolution – a carbon fibre copy of my Valley Aquanaut. The rest of the Gang Clive, Estelle and Liz played off Treaddur bay on the Saturday and then on the Sunday went round North Stack, South Stack and Penryn Mawr! Probably the best day of the week. Roger joined us late Sunday afternoon and took group to Treaddur bay for ice cream. Monday had us all back together, and we decided on paddling Bull Bay to Caemes bay. On Tuesday we paddled Caemes bay to Cemlyn bay, Wednesday we walked from Caemes bay to Bull Bay, Thursday we paddled the length of the Menai Straits – timed it just right as the Swellies were begining to build, and on Friday some of us went home whilst Estelle and I paddled from Porth Dafarch to Treaddur Bay or just beyond it and rock hopped all the way back. Fantastic week away. Here are some pictures to whet your appetite.
