Evening / Night River Paddle on Sat 15th Jan

This paddle is open to all in the club, but you need to step back & just think for a minute.
This time of year we cannot tell what the Weather is going to do!
So you will need good warm clothing to keep you dry & snug, like paddle mitts.
You will need hot drinks & warm food to go with your warm kit.

This is by the pumping station on the A134 Horksley rd Nayland.
We will be getting out at 51.968661827299755, 0.9726310919584005
This is next to the pub (Swan Inn Stratford St Mary.
The nearest postcode to the put-in point is CO6 4JP which is Thrift farm Motts body repair shop. Continue north past this and the put-in is on the left-hand side opposite Horksley Road junction. You can’t miss it as you will be on the bridge over the river!
We are Looking at setting off on the river at 3.30pm
There will be a car shuttle from Nayland to Stratford St Mary. so if we meet at 2pm.
This will give us time to get the car shuttle & kayaks & kit sorted before the Sun goes to bed.
Plus we can set off as Sun set is 4.15pm
You will be on the river for a good 5 hours
This trip will be in the dark with a full moon, there is a lot of woody areas so pretty dark.
Bring lights BUT this is just so you can find your way back to your car.
I have glow sticks which I can sell to you for 50p each
If the weather gets very very bad I will pull the plug for safety reasons.
