North Wales on the River Tryweryn 14th and 15th of July 2012 hite Water Safety & Rescue 2-day course
This two day course is designed for whitewater paddlers who want to gain or improve their Whitewater Safety and Rescue techniques.
The course coach Richie was enthusiastic and engaging in his delivery of the syllabus, the course started at an easy pace and throughout the weekend, each step was clearly explained and demonstrated, the intensity of each stage increased in easy attainable exercises that allowed all the students to progress smoothly to each new level despite our obvious differences in fitness and age. An amazing course, we have all learnt so much and each of us has come away with a valuable set of tools that will increase the safety of all our paddling trips. Thank you Richie, Bramston Canoe Club are looking forward to the next course we do with you.
Course content included: Throwline use, Aggressive & defensive swimming, Stoppers, Harness use, Entrapments, Rope work, Boat-based rescues and in-depth knowledge of kit used and required.
River Safety Day 1-day course
This one-day course is designed for paddlers who want to gain or improve their confidence in whitewater and rescue situations.
